What's the difference between a basic and premium report? →
The basic report gives you your Investability Score and a high-level breakdown across all 7 dimensions — 2 per month, free. The premium report is the full investment-grade analysis: detailed dimension scoring, specific benchmarks, competitive positioning, risk assessment, and a prioritized action plan telling you exactly what to fix to improve your score and fundability.
What does "publicly unlocked" mean when I pay $10? →
When a free user pays $10 for a premium report, that report is permanently visible to all X1 users — for free. No one else will ever need to pay to see that report again. This builds a growing community library of startup analysis across the platform. Free users who want deep analysis on a startup they haven't evaluated can sometimes find it already unlocked by another user.
What is "early adopter pricing" and when does it end? →
Early adopter annual pricing is $20/month — locked in for your first full year when you subscribe on an annual plan. After your first year, annual pricing renews at $79/month. Monthly pricing is $99/month and doesn't change. The $20/month rate is our way of rewarding the people who join while X1 is actively building the full platform.
If I subscribe annually at $20/mo, does that price stay forever? →
Your $20/month rate is locked in for your first full year. When your annual subscription renews after year one, pricing moves to $79/month — still the same features, just at the standard annual rate. We'll notify you before your renewal. Monthly pricing stays at $99/month regardless of when you sign up.
Can subscribers run more than 5 reports in a month? →
Subscribers get 5 premium evaluations included each month. If you need more, additional reports are available at $10 each — the same per-report rate as free users. Unused monthly reports don't roll over. Keep in mind that subscribers also get access to the full X1 report library, so if a premium report already exists for a startup you want to research, you can read it without using one of your 5 evaluations.
How does pricing work for accelerators and programs? →
For accelerators, conferences, and investor networks that need to evaluate cohorts or large volumes of startups, we offer custom organizational pricing. This typically includes bulk evaluation access, cohort-level reporting, and custom intake workflows. Contact us to discuss your program's needs — the simplest integration (no custom pricing needed) is just asking applicants to share their X1 Startup Profile link as part of your application.
What counts as an "evaluation"? Is there a difference between basic and premium? →
A basic evaluation generates your Investability Score plus the 7-dimension visual breakdown — included free for all users (2/month). A premium evaluation is the full VC-grade analysis: detailed scoring rationale, competitive benchmarking, risk identification, and a specific action plan. Free users get 2 basic evaluations/month and can upgrade to premium for $10 each. Subscribers get 5 premium evaluations included monthly, plus access to the full library.
What is a Quick Report and how is it different from a regular evaluation? →
A Quick Report is a full X1 analysis — Investability Score, basic report, and premium report — run on any startup, whether or not they have a published X1 profile. Regular evaluations are tied to published startup profiles on the platform. Quick Reports are private, live in your My Reports dashboard, and are only visible to you and anyone you share them with directly. They're the way to evaluate startups that aren't on X1 yet.
Why do Quick Reports cost $10 even if I'm a subscriber? →
When a startup is published on X1, the analysis benefits the whole ecosystem — investors discover them, the data improves, and the report contributes to the shared library. A Quick Report on an unpublished startup only benefits the person who ran it. That's why Quick Reports are always $10, regardless of plan. It keeps subscription pricing low for everyone while fairly pricing a private, individual-use analysis that doesn't add to the shared platform.
Will the startup know I ran a Quick Report on them? →
The startup will never know who ran their report unless you tell them. Your analysis is yours until you choose to share it. This is why a growing number of investors use Quick Reports as a research tool — they can evaluate a company's fundability, add them to their XRM pipeline, and track them over time, all before ever making contact. Your report stays in your My Reports dashboard, visible only to you and anyone you share it with directly via email.
Can I share a Quick Report with someone who doesn't have an X1 account? →
Yes. Quick Reports can be shared directly by email address — the recipient doesn't need an X1 account to view the report. This makes them useful for sharing analysis with a co-investor, LP, or even the startup themselves when you're ready to engage. If the startup wants to take ownership of their Quick Report and publish a full X1 profile, the report can be converted directly — no duplicate entry required.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime? →
Yes. Monthly subscribers can cancel anytime — your subscription stays active until the end of the billing period. Annual subscribers can cancel renewal before their annual renewal date. If you cancel, you'll roll back to the free tier at the end of your paid period and keep all your data, including any reports you've previously generated. You won't lose access to your X1 Startup Profile or history.
